This Okinawan Ryukyu dancing doll wears a beautiful Bingata Kimono. Bin means colors and gata mean pattern. This Kimono reflects the colors of Okinawa. She is also wearing a red fora headpiece called Hangasa. This dance was developed for the royal court in the 15th century to welcome high ranking officials. My mother was an Okinawan dancer and this is one of her dances she would perform. A must have for anyone's collection. Superior quality and very detailed.
