Date Jime, Velcro

This Velcro Date Jime is used as a support obi. Worn just below the bust line, the Date Jime ensures that the collar of the nagajuban (or "under kimono") doesn't shift when you put on the main kimono. The Date Jime is worn on top of the Koshi Himo and is held in place by Velcro. The rubber-like backing prevents it from moving around.
