Japanese Money Envelope, Shugi Bukuro
Item Number: WE2162
A cash gift called Oshugi is customarily given to the bride and groom at Japanese weddings. Traditionally, the money is presented in a Shugi-Bukuro (pronounced shoo-gi bukuro). Your name and message is written on the envelope so the recipient can see whom the gift is from. The envelope is placed inside the shugi-bukuro that is beautifully decorated with red and white mizuhiki cords twisted and tied into a decorative knot. These envelopes can be used for birthdays and anniversaries too!
